Job Opportunity: Organisation Development Practitioners
Sandwell and West Birmingham and Dudley Group Foundation Trusts are seeking experienced Organisation Development (OD) Practitioners to help deliver an ambitious programme of improvement across the Group. The roles will strengthen leadership, team effectiveness and organisational culture, supporting a sustainable workforce and better experiences for staff, patients and the communities we serve.
Quality, sustainability and equity are central to our approach. You will design, deliver and evaluate interventions that build capability at individual, team and organisational levels, working closely with leaders across both Trusts to translate Group priorities into practical and measurable change.
We welcome applicants with different OD specialisms. What matters most is your ability to build trusted relationships, engage people across professional and organisational boundaries, facilitate challenging conversations and turn insight into action. You will have the confidence to lead complex pieces of work independently while contributing to a collaborative, learning focused team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
