Organisational Effectiveness Senior Manager
Location: UK | Hybrid working
Our client is looking for an accomplished Organisational Effectiveness Senior Manager to take a leading role in shaping how a large, complex organisation is structured, operates and performs.
Working closely with Executive and HR leadership, you'll tackle some of the organisation's most strategically important challenges, from operating model redesign and organisation design through to enterprise-wide transformation and new ways of working.
This is a highly visible role where you'll combine strategic thinking, analytical rigour and strong stakeholder influence to turn business strategy into practical organisational solutions.
The role
You'll partner with senior leaders to understand where changes to organisational design, structures, capabilities and ways of working can unlock better performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with Executive and HR leaders to shape the organisational effectiveness agenda and identify the highest-impact priorities.
- Leading complex organisation design and operating model transformation programmes from initial diagnosis through to target-state design and implementation.
- Designing future-fit operating models, organisational structures and ways of working aligned to business strategy.
- Using evidence, workforce data and organisational insight to identify opportunities and inform major decisions.
- Providing credible, constructive challenge to senior stakeholders on complex organisational questions.
- Leading cross-functional and matrix teams to develop and implement target-state organisational designs.
- Bringing external thinking, innovative approaches and leading practice into organisational effectiveness initiatives.
- Building internal capability by coaching HR/People colleagues, OE practitioners and business leaders.

About you
You'll bring significant experience in Organisational Effectiveness, Organisation Design or Operating Model Transformation, gained within a complex corporate environment, management consultancy or a combination of the two.
Our client is interested in people who can demonstrate:
- A strong track record of leading large-scale organisation design and operating model programmes.
- Deep knowledge of organisation design, operating models and organisational effectiveness methodologies.
- The ability to move comfortably between strategy and delivery, translating complex business challenges into practical organisational solutions.
- Strong analytical capability, including using workforce data and modelling to generate meaningful insights.
- Experience with tools such as Excel, Power BI or equivalent analytics platforms.
- Credibility operating with Executive-level stakeholders, including the confidence to challenge established thinking.
- Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of how organisational decisions affect performance, cost, capability and execution.
- Experience of organisational health frameworks, organisational efficiency/productivity measures, enterprise transformation or management consulting would be particularly valuable.
- You may also have experience developing OE capability in others through coaching, facilitation or leadership.
