Organisational & Leadership Development Manager

Job reference: VAC (Apply online only)

Location: Brigade Headquarters, Stocklake, Aylesbury, Bucks, HP20 1BD

Salary: £57,118 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week

You will be responsible as Organisational and Leadership Development Manager:

  • Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of organisational development, learning and leadership programmes that support organisational priorities.
  • Help us build workforce capability, embed a coaching culture, support succession planning and create development pathways that enable people to perform at their best.
  • Work closely with senior leaders, managers, colleagues, partners and staff networks, using insight, workforce data and engagement feedback to identify priorities and deliver practical, high-impact solutions.
  • Oversee key activity across talent development, inclusion, equality and culture, ensuring our approaches are fair, inclusive, evidence-based and focused on continuous improvement.

About You

We are looking for a credible, creative and collaborative OD and learning professional who can turn strategy into meaningful action. You will bring:

  • A proven track record in organisational development, learning, leadership development or culture change within a complex organisation.
  • Experience of designing and delivering leadership programmes, learning pathways and development interventions that improve capability and performance.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to use workforce insight, training needs analysis and evaluation data to shape priorities and demonstrate impact.
  • A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and creating a positive employee experience.
  • Confidence managing projects, suppliers, contracts and budgets to deliver quality, value for money and continuous improvement.

Qualifications Required

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification, or equivalent experience, with evidence of continued professional development.
  • Coaching qualification, accreditation or demonstrable coaching experience.

  • Experience leading organisational development and change initiatives in partnership with senior leaders.
  • Experience designing, commissioning, delivering and evaluating learning and leadership development solutions.
  • Knowledge of talent management, succession planning, performance management and employee engagement approaches.
  • Ability to analyse workforce data, identify skills gaps and translate insight into clear recommendations and action plans.
  • Experience promoting inclusive practice and supporting culture, equality and inclusion initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to advise, challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels.
