Role Description
Join a respected environmental consultancy at the heart of the UK’s net-zero economy as Principal Ornithologist, working with the Senior Leadership Team.
You’ll lead ornithology delivery on medium and large renewables and overhead line projects, managing EIA and HRA work and building strong client relationships. You’ll also help shape the service and mentor junior colleagues, working closely with the in-house GIS team on collision risk and population modelling.

What we’re looking for:
- Ornithology or ecological consultancy experience, ideally with onshore wind or renewables EIA.
- Proven people management and staff development experience.
- Confidence leading technically and commercially (BD experience a plus).
- Solid knowledge of UK ornithological legislation and guidance.
