Orthodontic Nurse
About The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established dental practice committed to delivering high-quality orthodontic care and exceptional patient experiences. They are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Orthodontic Nurse to join their team on a full-time, part-time or permanent basis.
This role would suit an experienced Orthodontic Nurse, as well as a proficient or trainee Dental Nurse looking to develop their career within orthodontics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during orthodontic procedures, including the fitting and adjustment of braces, retainers and other orthodontic appliances.
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, safe and sterile clinical environment.
- Take and maintain accurate patient records, including dental impressions, photographs and X-rays where required.
- Provide patients with clear guidance on oral hygiene and orthodontic care.
- Support and reassure patients throughout their orthodontic treatment.
- Ensure patients feel comfortable and well cared for during appointments.
- Work closely with the orthodontist and wider dental team to ensure an efficient workflow.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow appropriate practice procedures.
- Contribute to delivering a high standard of patient care and positive treatment outcomes.

Requirements
The successful candidate should have:
- A valid and current Dental Nursing qualification.
- Current GDC registration.
- Previous experience working within orthodontics is highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of orthodontic procedures, appliances and treatments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping abilities.
- A professional, friendly and compassionate approach to patient care.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative dental team.
- A commitment to maintaining high clinical and professional standards.

Employment Details
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Permanent
Salary: From £14.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
Experience
- Orthodontics: 1 year required
- Dental Nursing: 1 year required
Licence / Certification
- GDC Registration required
Work Authorisation
- UK work authorisation preferred.
