About You:
- BSc (Hons) in Prosthetics & Orthotics or equivalent qualification
- HCPC registration as an Orthotist
- Significant post-qualification clinical experience, including complex case management
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Area Clinical Lead Orthotist to provide expert clinical leadership across our orthotics service for West Hertfordshire NHS Trust, covering Hemel Hempstead and Watford Hospitals. The successful candidate will:
- Provide line management and appraisals across the regional Orthotist workforce
- Oversee complex clinical care
- Lead on clinical governance, KPI oversight, and quality improvement
- Represent the service at Trust contract review meetings
- Identify commercial opportunities to develop the service
- Maintain an active clinical caseload

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and Trust stakeholders, the Area Clinical Lead will help ensure the delivery of safe, effective, patient-centred care while driving innovation, service improvement, and professional standards across both sites.
