About The Role

Start your career in mobile network technology and help shape the future of connectivity. Supporting customers across EE, BT, Plusnet and the Emergency Services Network (ESN), you'll join a specialist team responsible for the systems and data that keep the mobile network running at its best.

This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to build your technical skills, including coding, automation and data analysis, while learning from experienced engineers and industry experts. You'll help develop tools, reporting and network solutions that improve the performance and reliability of 2G, 4G and 5G services.

The successful candidate must be willing to undergo BPSS-level government screening, which requires a minimum of three years’ continuous residence in the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Become one of the RAN OSS design authorities to design and develop RAN Element Managers and Trace Management tools which support the ESN contract.
  • Work with RAN, Platform and IP Designers to ensure the vendor OSS platform designs support the demands of the radio and transmission technologies.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical business users using their requirements to propose solution strategy for predicting, planning and visualising RAN data.
  • Support resolving customer affected issues regarding RAN Data.
  • Drive efficiency and scalability through the re-use of network designs and ongoing in-life operation of designs across the overall network platform and/or customer solution.
  • Ensure that all systems introduced adhere to GDPR and Security Policies.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Python coding and Unix/Linux scripting (BASH, PERL).
  • Knowledge of IP Networks, virtual machines and cloud based hosting solutions.
  • Experience of working with databases. Manipulating & interpreting multiple sources of complex data to derive both technical design guidelines and strategic recommendations.
