OT Cyber Security Architect
Up to £85,000 plus benefits
Rochester, Kent | Hybrid, two days per week | Occasional UK client travel
We are recruiting an OT Cyber Security Architect for a growing organisation operating across energy, metering and critical infrastructure.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing architecture role. You will help customers understand their OT security needs, design practical solutions across IT and OT environments, and support those designs through implementation.
The role
- Lead OT security architecture across customer projects
- Turn customer needs into clear security requirements
- Design secure IT/OT interfaces, networks and data flows
- Apply ISA/IEC 62443 to segmentation, zones and conduits
- Produce architecture diagrams and design documentation
- Support implementation, testing and handover
- Review supplier and engineering designs
- Contribute to risk assessments, FAT and SAT
- Help develop OT security standards and reusable designs

About you
You will bring:
- Experience designing security solutions for OT, ICS or SCADA environments
- Practical ISA/IEC 62443 knowledge
- Strong understanding of IT/OT integration and the Purdue Model
- Experience supporting designs through implementation
- Confidence leading customer workshops and technical discussions
- The ability to balance security with operational availability and resilience
Experience in energy, utilities, metering, systems integration or critical infrastructure would be particularly relevant.
Knowledge of NCSC CAF, NIS, NIST SP 800-82, OT monitoring, vulnerability management or embedded-device security would be beneficial, but you do not need every item to apply.
