Overview

TRC is looking for an experienced ADMS Engineering Leader to join our Intelligent Grid Solutions team in the EMEA Delivery team supporting the Energy Control Systems (ECS) practice. This role is a senior delivery position focused on the successful execution of complex Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) programmes for European utilities, combining deep hands-on expertise across SCADA, OMS, DMS and DERMS systems with delivery leadership across multi-vendor environments.

Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership

  • Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale ADMS programmes (SCADA, OMS, DMS, DERMS)
  • Own end-to-end delivery across multi-vendor ecosystems (e.g., Schneider, GE, Siemens, Oracle, etc.)
  • Ensure delivery meets schedule, budget, quality, and performance objectives
  • Work closely with TRC’s dedicated delivery organization to scale and execute programmes

Engineering & Technical Leadership

  • Provide expert-level oversight across:
    • SCADA (telemetry, real-time control, ICCP, communications)
    • DMS (load flow, FLISR, Volt/VAR optimization, switching)
    • OMS (fault detection, outage lifecycle, restoration workflows)
    • DERMS (DER visibility, flexibility, distributed energy integration)
  • Guide critical design decisions including:
    • Network modelling (CIM, topology vs connectivity)
    • Integration architecture (IEC standards, APIs, event-driven integration)
    • Real-time system performance, resilience, and availability

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
