The Role
To lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the OT Solutions delivery, software development, systems integration and support functions. You will develop, implement and continually improve operational processes, procedures and standards to ensure consistent delivery across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Manage team performance, workload planning and resource allocation to meet business priorities and customer commitments.
- Provide operational leadership for software deployment, integration activities and support services.
- Drive operational excellence through standardisation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Service Delivery & Support
- Establish and manage support and maintenance processes for deployed OT Solutions.
- Ensure effective incident, problem, change and release management practices are implemented and maintained.
- Monitor service performance and customer satisfaction, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee the transition of projects into operational support ensuring solutions are supportable, documented and maintainable.
- Maintain operational readiness and business continuity for customer-facing solutions.

Software Development & Integration Management
- Provide leadership and direction to the Software Team.
- Ensure software development activities align with agreed customer requirements and business objectives.
- Support the development and adoption of secure, scalable and maintainable automation software solutions.
- Ensure integration projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed quality standards
- Promote reuse, standardisation and modular approaches across all solution deployments
Project & Delivery Coordination
- Provide oversight of OT Digital Solution delivery activities and project co-ordination functions.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Customer stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor delivery performance, risks, dependencies and resource requirements.
- Support planning and prioritisation of operational and project activities across the Digital Solutions portfolio.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute operational insight into solution development, solution enhancement and technology roadmaps.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, operational efficiency and customer value.
- Support the evolution of Digital Solutions.
- Participate in lessons learned activities and implementation of corrective actions.
Customer Engagement
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, partners and internal stakeholders.
- Act as an operational escalation point for service and delivery matters.
- Support customer reviews, service reporting and operational planning activities.
- Gather feedback from customers and delivery teams to support continual improvement.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Work in accordance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Support internal and external audits to maintain high standards in operational delivery and software development practices.
- Ensure operational activities are aligned with cyber security, quality and governance requirements.
- Promote best practice in safety, quality and operational excellence throughout the department.

Skills & Experience
- HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Proven experience managing operational delivery, software development, systems integration or service delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of OT, industrial automation, digital technologies and operational environments.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams and project resources.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience implementing operational processes, standards and governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of software delivery lifecycles, deployment methodologies and support models.
- Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project/service management tools.
Desirable
- Experience operating within industrial, manufacturing, energy or critical infrastructure sectors.
- Knowledge of OT cyber security principles and secure-by-design practices.
- Experience developing and managing service-level agreements and support frameworks.
- Understanding of product lifecycle management and product-based operating models.
- Experience implementing DevOps, automation or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Project management qualifications or relevant operational leadership certifications.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
