About the Role

The Operational Technology (OT) and digital space are constantly evolving. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of Diageo's manufacturing operational technology. We are looking for someone who is ambitious and enterprising, with outstanding leadership qualities that enables them to assume a critical role in the future of Global Engineering.

As part of the Global Engineering Digital & Automation Team, and working across Diageo global manufacturing sites, you will support all CAPEX Projects as an OT and Digital Subject Matter Expert, coaching in new standards and ways of working to project teams. Global Engineering manages a portfolio of projects over $800m, you will provide OT support to all projects within this portfolio, with specific support to large scale projects.

About the role

In this role you will:

  • Apply specialist OT engineering knowledge to support and advise on projects to the required technical specifications and standards
  • Awareness of standards such as ISA99/IEC-62443, NIST CSF, ISO 27001 desirable
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with multiple internal/external resources, and subject matter experts
  • Empower projects to deliver scope safely, on time, within budget to the expected standards, whilst managing risk and resolving issues
  • Develop OT project documentation, processes and guidance to be used in tendering packs, contractor management and supplier KPI’s
  • Maintain relationships between key OT delivery partners and main contractors
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate health, safety, security, and environmental standards

Experience

  • Risk based approach to problem solving, able to balance project deliverables with technical requirements
  • Deep knowledge and experience delivering and leading OT engineering projects and programs
  • The expertise to question and challenge, driving focus, to enable decision making
  • The ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and senior partners
  • The confidence to make bold design decisions where guidance does not exist to ensure project success
