OT Systems Architect
We are seeking an experienced OT Systems Architect with FMCG/Food Manufacturing industry experience to lead the design, integration, and optimization of industrial automation and digital manufacturing solutions. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep OT expertise with modern industrial data architectures, connectivity platforms, and visualization technologies.
You will play a key role in driving smart factory initiatives, designing scalable OT infrastructures, connecting shop-floor systems to enterprise platforms, and enabling data-driven decision-making across manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement OT architectures for industrial automation environments.
- Develop and maintain connectivity between PLCs, SCADA systems, historians, and enterprise applications.
- Architect and deploy solutions using FactoryTalk Optix and Siemens Industrial Edge.
- Design and optimize OPC-UA data models for industrial equipment and manufacturing assets.
- Enable reliable collection and aggregation of data from PLCs and production systems.
- Integrate operational technology data with reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI.
- Define and support historian and time-series database architectures, including InfluxDB.
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing OT solutions.
- Support cybersecurity best practices within industrial control system environments.
- Contribute to automation projects through PLC programming, troubleshooting, and system optimization.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with FactoryTalk Optix (Rockwell Automation).
- Hands-on expertise with Siemens Industrial Edge.
- Experience designing OT systems architectures within manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience with PLC programming and integration.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Siemens PLCs
- Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLCs
- Experience collecting and processing operational data from PLC systems.
- Strong understanding of OPC-UA communication protocols and data modelling.
- Experience integrating OT data into enterprise platforms and analytics tools.
- Knowledge of industrial networking and communication architectures.
- Experience with SCADA systems and industrial historians.
- Solid understanding of time-series databases, particularly InfluxDB.
- Experience designing data pipelines for real-time and historical production data.
- Experience integrating OT data with Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and integration tasks.
- Basic understanding of industrial cybersecurity principles and OT security best practices.
