Your new company
You will be working through a professional services organisation on an Operational Technology assignment within the utilities sector.

Your new role
As the OT Technical Support Manager, you will lead the operational support, maintenance and resilience of high-availability Operational Technology systems. You will oversee service delivery and incident response while ensuring that patching, vulnerability remediation and planned maintenance activities are managed effectively. The role will also involve workforce planning, capability development and leadership of a technical support team.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the operational support and maintenance of high-availability OT systems.
  • Manage incident response, fault diagnosis, system recovery and operational resilience.
  • Oversee service delivery across the supported OT environment.
  • Coordinate OT patching, maintenance and vulnerability remediation activities.
  • Plan and allocate technical resources according to operational requirements.
  • Map team capability and identify technical development requirements.
  • Coach and develop technical team members.
  • Provide strong operational leadership and effective stakeholder management.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need a strong background in the operational management and support of critical OT platforms within high-availability environments. The role requires a combination of technical operational knowledge, incident leadership and technical team management experience.

Essential skills and experience

  • Experience supporting and operationally managing OT platforms.
  • Knowledge of systems such as Distribution Management Systems, SCADA, data historians, telemetry and communications platforms.
  • Incident management experience, including fault diagnosis, recovery and operational resilience.
  • Experience working in high-availability operational environments.
  • Experience managing OT patching, vulnerability remediation and maintenance activities.
  • Resource allocation, workforce planning and capability-mapping experience.
  • Experience coaching and developing technical teams.
  • Strong operational leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Operational Technology experience within the utilities sector.
