Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced OT Technical Support Manager to lead the operational support, maintenance, and resilience of critical Operational Technology (OT) systems within a Utilities environment.
This is a leadership role focused on ensuring the availability, performance, security, and continuous improvement of high-availability OT platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for incident management, fault recovery, service delivery, vulnerability remediation, workforce planning, and the ongoing development of technical support teams.
You will work closely with operational stakeholders, engineering teams, and business leaders to ensure OT services remain robust, resilient, and aligned to business and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the operational support and maintenance of critical OT platforms and services.
- Manage incident response activities, fault diagnosis, service restoration, and root cause analysis.
- Ensure operational resilience across high-availability environments, supporting business continuity and recovery activities.
- Oversee OT patching, maintenance schedules, and vulnerability remediation programmes.
- Drive service delivery excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across OT support functions.
- Manage resource allocation, workforce planning, and operational support capacity.
- Coach, mentor, and develop technical support teams, ensuring appropriate skills and capability development.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across operational, engineering, and business functions.
- Ensure OT environments comply with operational, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve stability, resilience, and service quality.
- Provide technical leadership and operational guidance across OT support and service management activities.

What You'll Bring
- Proven experience supporting and managing Operational Technology (OT) environments.
- Strong experience with OT platforms including:
- Distribution Management Systems (DMS)
- SCADA Systems
- Data Historians
- Telemetry Systems
- Communications Platforms
- Experience managing incidents, fault diagnosis, service recovery, and major outages within high-availability environments.
- Strong knowledge of OT patching, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation processes.
- Experience leading technical teams, including resource planning, capability mapping, coaching, and development.
- Strong operational leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience delivering support services within critical infrastructure environments.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
