OT Technical Support Manager (Inside IR35 - Hybrid Glasgow)

Overview

The role requires 1-2 days onsite presence in Perth and is classified inside IR35 regulations. Budget is £650-750 per day based on experience.

Project Overview

The gig involves leading the operational support, maintenance, and resilience of high-availability Operational Technology (OT) systems in the utilities domain. This includes overseeing incident response, service delivery, patching, vulnerability remediation, workforce planning, and technical team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support OT platforms such as SCADA, DMS, data historians, telemetry, and communications systems.
  • Lead incident management, fault diagnosis, recovery, and operational resilience in high-availability environments.
  • Oversee OT patching, vulnerability remediation, and maintenance activities.
  • Allocate resources, map capabilities, and coach the technical team to develop their skills.
  • Provide strong operational leadership and manage stakeholder relationships.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in supporting and managing OT platforms, particularly SCADA and DMS systems.
  • Knowledge of telemetry systems relevant to OT environments.
  • Proven skills in incident management and maintenance within high-availability settings.
  • Expertise in workforce planning and technical team development.
  • Strong operational leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
