OT Technician
Full Time | 12 month fixed-term contract

£33,500 Per Annum, Plus Benefits
We're recruiting a fixed-term OT Technician to support the delivery of our Alarm Rationalisation Project, which aims to improve the quality, accuracy and effectiveness of alarms and telemetry signals across sewage treatment works and pumping stations.
About The Role
As an OT Technician, you'll play a key role in improving the reliability and effectiveness of alarms and telemetry data across our wastewater network. Working closely with the Alarm Rationalisation team, you'll implement configuration changes within our Regional SCADA Telemetry System, ensuring alarms and events are accurately prioritised, labelled and configured in line with industry standards. Your work will help provide clear, actionable information that supports informed operational decision-making and improves the efficiency of our sites.

What You'll Be Doing
- Implementing and managing telemetry configuration changes to support the Alarm Rationalisation Project.
- Configuring and optimising telemetry signals, alarms, system logic and sequence charts within our Regional SCADA Telemetry System.
- Coordinating and maintaining a schedule of configuration changes with project stakeholders.
- Ensuring telemetry data and alarms deliver clear, accurate and actionable information to operational teams.
- Developing and maintaining configuration templates and standardised ways of working.
- Providing regular updates on requests and change progress.
- Following established change management, governance and information security processes.
- Supporting testing activities while identifying opportunities to improve processes and system performance.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working within an IT or Operational Technology (OT) environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications, with knowledge of SQL Server desirable.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive, flexible and customer-focused approach.
- A commitment to health, safety, wellbeing and information security.
- A willingness to continuously develop technical knowledge and skills.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent).
- Ability to successfully obtain UK Government Security Clearance (SC).
- ITIL Foundation, A-Level, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent qualifications in Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation or a related technical discipline would be advantageous.
