OtC Consultant — SAP Order-to-Cash
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a OtC Consultant — SAP Order-to-Cash based in United Kingdom.
This is a remote freelance opportunity supporting a large-scale SAP transformation project within a global pharmaceutical environment. You will take functional ownership of end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes across order management, delivery, billing, and invoicing. The role combines hands-on SAP configuration with solution design, integration, testing, deployment, and production support. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies. The position also involves improving integrations between SAP and external platforms while ensuring reliable, scalable solutions. It is well suited to an experienced SAP OTC professional who can work independently and navigate complex enterprise environments.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of SAP Order-to-Cash processes.
- Manage key OTC processes including order management, delivery, billing, and invoicing.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP functional solutions and system designs.
- Provide functional ownership and guidance across end-to-end OTC processes.
- Configure and optimize SAP SD and related Order-to-Cash functionality.
- Support and improve integrations between SAP and external systems, including 3PL providers, EDI platforms, APIs, and SAP BTP services.
- Collaborate with teams across SAP MM, SAP FI/CO, Supply Chain Management, and other enterprise applications.
- Participate in solution design, testing, cutover planning, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Investigate and resolve SAP OTC functional and integration issues, performing root-cause analysis and implementing sustainable corrective solutions.
- Ensure solutions align with IT governance, security, audit, and SAP delivery standards.
- Work effectively with global business and technical stakeholders across different functions and geographies.
- Manage multiple initiatives, priorities, documentation, and deliverables in parallel.

Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP OTC / Order-to-Cash processes.
- Strong functional expertise in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution).
- Solid understanding of end-to-end Order-to-Cash business processes.
- Proven experience with SAP configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Experience with integrations involving EDI, APIs, 3PL systems, SAP BTP, or similar technologies.
- Good understanding of integration points between SAP SD and SAP MM, FI/CO, and SCM.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into practical SAP solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively within a global enterprise environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, FMCG, manufacturing, or another highly regulated global environment is a plus.
- Experience with SAP transformation, rollout, migration, or harmonization projects is desirable.
- Exposure to large international SAP landscapes is an advantage.
