£30,000 to £40,000 salary | Reports to the Head of Trading | Up to 2 years' experience
About Overchain
Overchain is a regulated crypto payments and settlement business. We provide institutional clients with stablecoin and digital asset payment rails, OTC liquidity, crypto acceptance and fast fiat settlement, supported by closed-loop banking relationships with tier one banks.
Our clients are regulated businesses that move significant volume and cannot afford settlement risk or slow payouts. They include brokers, exchanges, virtual asset service providers, payment service providers, gaming operators and merchants taking crypto for the first time. We are FINTRAC registered, with FCA and MiCA authorisation in progress.
Overchain sits inside a wider group covering banking and payments consultancy, foreign exchange, commercial finance and e-money. You gain exposure to that full product suite without being involved in it day to day, which is useful commercial grounding in how money actually moves.
The Role
This is a trading support role on our OTC desk, sitting directly alongside the Head of Trading. You will handle the operational and client-facing work that keeps the desk running: booking and settling trades, watching rates, fielding client queries and fixing problems as they come up. It is a hands-on seat with direct exposure to institutional OTC flow from day one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You do not need to have traded before. You need to be accurate with numbers, comfortable with the basics of crypto and FX, and quick to learn how digital assets and fiat move between counterparties.
What you will be doing
- Booking trades accurately and promptly, and reconciling them against liquidity provider confirmations and settlement records
- Monitoring stablecoin and FX rates throughout the day and flagging moves, dislocations or pricing anomalies to the Head of Trading
- Preparing indicative quotes using the desk's internal pricing tools, under supervision
- Acting as a day-to-day contact for clients: confirming trade details, answering settlement and onboarding questions, and chasing outstanding items
- Tracking settlements across fiat and on-chain rails and escalating failed or delayed payments
- Working with Compliance on client onboarding, transaction monitoring alerts and Travel Rule information requests
- Investigating and resolving operational issues such as mismatched amounts, wrong wallet addresses, missing references and delayed confirmations
What we are looking for
- Up to two years of experience in trading support, operations, FX, payments or crypto
- High numerical accuracy, with a basic knowledge of cryptocurrency or FX trading
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Clear written and verbal communication with clients
- A working understanding of stablecoins, blockchain transactions and wallets
- Able to work fast with high attention to detail
- Awareness of AML, KYC and sanctions obligations, or a willingness to learn them quickly
- Right to work in the UK and able to work from our London office five days a week
