OT/IT Cyber Security Engineering Specialist

A hands-on OT security specialist to help a global manufacturer of advanced technology products meet the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) across its product portfolio.

The role

The security team is stretched across the UK and US East Coast and needs to deliver CRA compliance alongside wider business change. You will bring OT security expertise into manufacturing and engineering teams, closing gaps and putting the right technical controls in place.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead CRA implementation from a technical perspective across products and manufacturing environments
  • Run gap assessments against CRA and related standards, and drive remediation
  • Design, implement, and manage technical security controls across OT and IT
  • Embed secure development practices, including SBOMs and DevSecOps
  • Work closely with engineering teams, explaining the why behind each control and building buy-in

Essential experience

  • 5+ years in cyber security at consultant level
  • Hands-on OT security in a manufacturing environment, including PLCs and HMIs
  • Practical experience of CRA, or closely related regulation such as IEC 62443
  • Working knowledge of SBOMs and DevSecOps

Desirable

  • Experience in aviation or other regulated, safety-critical sectors
  • Experience working across UK and US teams
