Out-of-Hours Registered Veterinary Nurse
Salary £30k per annum DOE
Contract: Permanent
Working hours: Rota – 9 shifts in 28 days
Location: Sevenoaks, TN13
Closing Date: 4 November 2026, midday
No corporate ownership, no hidden agenda – just doing things right.
We’re looking for an Out-of-Hours Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the dedicated OOH team at our purpose-built hospital in Sevenoaks. If you come alive when the doors are locked and the phones start ringing, love the variety of emergency and critical care, and want your nursing skills to genuinely drive patient care, this is the role for you.
What The Night Looks Like
When the rest of the world’s switched off, you’ll be at the heart of our emergency service. Triaging walk-ins and phone calls, monitoring anaesthetics, running fluid therapy and critical care, caring for inpatients across the wards, and keeping things calm when it’s anything but. You’ll work hand in hand with our OOH vet, and your judgement will matter: this is nursing where you’re trusted to think, not just follow.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The kit to do it properly
Three dedicated theatres, separate dog, cat and exotics wards, a full imaging suite including CT, X-ray and ultrasound, plus digital cytology and in-house labs. Everything you need to nurse at your best, right there on site.
Most of our clients have unlimited consults too, so many of the patients you see overnight are ones our daytime teams already know, which means proper handovers and real continuity rather than one-and-done visits.
You’ll fit right in if you…
- Are an RVN who thrives on emergency and critical care, and stays steady when things get busy
- Like being trusted to use your clinical judgement and speak up for your patients
- Communicate clearly, with owners at 3am and with the vet you’re working alongside
- Want to keep growing, whether that’s an ECC certificate, a new skill, or simply getting sharper at what you already do
- Enjoy being part of a small, tight-knit team who know exactly what this job takes
What’s In It For You
- Team spirit: a dedicated OOH team of RVNs, ACAs and vets, so out-of-hours is a career, not something tagged onto a day job
- CPD: support for your development, including certificate study
- Fees: RCVS registration covered
- A real stake: at Pennard, every member of the team is an employee owner of the practice
