Join Our Team as an Out of School Club Manager!
Do you love helping children have fun, build friendships and explore their interests? At Little Green Rascals Bishopthorpe, we’re looking for an enthusiastic Out of School Club Manager to lead our breakfast and after-school provision, creating a welcoming environment where children can relax, play and enjoy their time before and after school.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Third in Charge, Deputy Manager or experienced early years team leader looking for a new opportunity. You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the club, with support from the nursery management team, alongside office duties and supporting the nursery between club sessions.
To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or above. Ideally, you’ll have experience supporting or leading a team within an early years or out of school setting.

Pay: £30,659.20 - £30,659.20 per Annum, based on experience.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Club sessions run from 7am-9am and 2.30pm-6.30pm, with working time between sessions spent on office duties and supporting the nursery.
Location: Little Green Rascals Children's Day Nursery & Out of School Club Bishopthorpe, Old School House, Bishopthorpe, North Yorkshire, YO23 2RE.
What Being An Out Of School Club Manager Involves
As our Out of School Club Manager, you’ll:
- Coordinate the day-to-day running of our breakfast and after-school club, supported by the nursery management team.
- Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where children feel comfortable, build friendships and have fun.
- Plan and deliver varied activities, from arts and crafts to outdoor play, following children’s interests and giving them a voice in how they spend their time.
- Support and guide the club team, helping everyone understand their responsibilities and work well together.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers and school staff, ensuring clear communication and smooth handovers.
- Support children’s individual needs, wellbeing and positive behaviour with a caring and consistent approach.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures, maintaining accurate registers and records and raising any concerns promptly.
- Help keep club spaces clean, organised and ready for play, with suitable resources and activities.
- Complete office and administrative tasks and support the nursery team between club sessions.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- A Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- Experience working with children, ideally with some responsibility for supporting colleagues or leading a room, team or club.
- An understanding of safeguarding and how to create a safe, inclusive environment for children.
- A warm, approachable manner and the confidence to build relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to coordinate activities and daily routines.
- Creativity, enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved in play.
- A practical, flexible approach and a readiness to support the wider nursery team.

About Our Nursery And Out Of School Club
Based in a charming listed former school building opposite Bishopthorpe library, Little Green Rascals Bishopthorpe has a welcoming, home-from-home feel. Our nursery features four rooms with original features, three gardens and an onsite Forest School.
Our Out of School and Holiday Club is attached to our local school, offering children opportunities to enjoy arts and crafts, outdoor adventures and time with friends. We aim to make every session a place where children feel included, can follow their interests and enjoy being themselves.
Across our setting, our kitchen team prepares fresh, organic food onsite each day for children and staff. We also have our nursery dog, Mabel, who attends two days a week and is training to become a therapy dog for children.
