Job Summary
The Outbound Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily outbound operations, with a particular focus on overall planning, workforce coordination, and execution across multiple outbound scenarios.
This role requires someone who can manage the outbound operation from a broader operational perspective, rather than focusing only on individual tasks or order allocation. The successful candidate should be able to coordinate B2B and B2C outbound activities, allocate labour effectively, manage operational priorities, and ensure smooth communication between different teams and functions.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a 3PL, e-commerce, fulfilment, or fast-paced warehouse environment, with strong planning skills and the ability to maintain control of outbound flow during changing volume and operational demands.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily outbound operations, including B2B and B2C fulfilment, picking, packing, sorting, staging and loading.
- Develop daily operational plans based on order volume, workload, cut-off times and available manpower.
- Coordinate workforce allocation across different outbound work areas to ensure appropriate coverage and productivity.
- Manage supporting operational resources, including water spider/material movement support and other dedicated outbound support teams, according to operational requirements.
- Monitor outbound workload and progress throughout the shift and adjust manpower or priorities where required.
- Maintain overall visibility of outbound flow and identify potential bottlenecks before they impact delivery performance.
- Coordinate with Inbound, Inventory, Transport and other operational teams to ensure smooth end-to-end warehouse execution.
- Ensure outbound orders are processed accurately and within required service-level and dispatch cut-off times.
- Monitor operational KPIs, productivity, backlog and exception levels, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Lead and support Team Leaders and warehouse associates, providing clear task allocation and operational direction.
- Ensure employees follow SOPs, operational standards and health & safety requirements.
- Support shift handovers and ensure clear communication of outstanding workload, risks and priorities.
- Investigate operational issues and implement practical improvements to improve workflow, productivity and service quality.
- Support continuous improvement projects and process optimisation within the outbound function.

- Previous experience in warehouse, fulfilment, e-commerce, 3PL or logistics operations.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong ability to plan manpower, coordinate multiple workstreams and manage competing operational priorities.
- Experience overseeing outbound operations across different fulfilment channels or operational scenarios is preferred.
- Good understanding of warehouse processes, particularly picking, packing, sorting, staging and dispatch.
- Experience using WMS or other warehouse operational systems.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Able to make timely operational decisions in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Comfortable managing operational performance through KPIs and data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.
- Flexible to work different shifts, weekends and peak periods when required.
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
- Previous 3PL warehouse management or supervisory experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in e-commerce fulfilment or high-volume outbound operations is preferred.
- Experience managing both B2B and B2C outbound operations is preferred.
- Experience coordinating multiple teams or operational areas within the same shift.
- Strong experience in workforce planning, labour allocation and outbound capacity planning.
- Experience managing warehouse operations with frequent volume changes, promotions or peak periods.
- Familiarity with JD Logistics / similar large-scale e-commerce warehouse systems and operating models would be an advantage.
- Chinese-English bilingual capability would be an advantage, but is not essential.
