Do you have a passion for delivering outstanding large-scale events that captivate audiences, generate revenue and leave a lasting impact? Are you an ambitious events professional with the commercial acumen to spot opportunities, build partnerships and successfully deliver complex outdoor events from concept to completion?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join AVH Parks as our Outdoor & Large-Scale Commercial Events Manager.

This is a high-profile, high-impact role where you’ll be trusted to:

  • Grow our large scale events, filming and promotional usage offer
  • Protect safety, financial success, compliance and reputation
  • Deliver memorable experiences that generate real return

From large public events and festivals to filming, media and specialist commercial hires in a parkland environment, if it’s complex, bespoke or high-risk, it’s yours to lead.

We are looking for a creative and driven individual to help us build our large scale and commercial events business and grow our current events baseline. You’ll be sales and service focused, bring contacts in the events industry and will work closely with Senior Stakeholders and park delivery teams you will support our One Team, One Experience approach to generate new, exciting events and opportunities on our parks across the Eastern Region.

Your events will complement the natural park environments in keeping with each of our sites, Rutland, Grafham, Alton, Pitsford & Taverham Mill. This is a regional role and travel across our parks will be required along with weekend and evening working in line with the event programme we deliver.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be the accountable owner for commercial events, including:

  • Shaping and delivering the large scale, outdoor and commercial events strategy across the parks portfolio
  • Identifying and developing income-generating opportunities, partnerships, filming and media use
  • Leading event planning, including contracts, licensing, risk assessments and safety documentation
  • Acting as the single point of accountability for compliance, delivery and evaluation
  • Managing external stakeholders — organisers, partners, emergency services and authorities
  • Supporting and coaching park teams to deliver smaller-scale, value-adding events
  • Ensuring exceptional health & safety standards and regulatory compliance
  • Measuring event performance, impact and ROI, feeding learning back into the sales pipeline

Who We’re Looking For

You’re someone who:

  • Has proven experience managing complex or large-scale events
  • Is confident owning contracts, risk, safety and compliance
  • Thinks commercially and understands return on investment
  • Is calm, credible and decisive when plans change
  • Builds strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
  • Isn’t afraid to challenge, say no, or reset scope to protect safety, sales or service
  • Thrives in a fast pace, sometimes high pressure environment and in a role with real responsibility and autonomy

Experience in public events, festivals, outdoor venues, filming/media, or destination venues is a strong advantage.
