Spire Little Aston Hospital is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join the Outpatient department on a full-time contract. You will join a warm, friendly, and supportive team working shifts across Monday-Saturday.
The department is open from 7:30 am – 9 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am – 2 pm on a Saturday. You have the option to work long (12 hrs) or shorter days (7.5 hrs) but flexibility to cover all days is required.

The hospital has an exceptional reputation within a variety of specialties including Orthopaedics, Sports & Exercise Medicine, Cosmetics, Ophthalmic, Gynaecology, General Surgery & Physiotherapy.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assisting nurses with outpatient clinics.
- As an HCA, duties will include routine tasks related to the delivery of care to ensure our patient’s health and well-being.
- Updating patient records accurately.
- Ensuring medical questionnaires and documentation are completed.
- Booking appointments or coordinating further tests when required.
- Maintaining confidentiality and following data protection procedures.
- Supporting patients who may be anxious about surgery.

Who we're looking for:
- Previous experience working within a clinical setting (ideally outpatients/clinics) is essential
- Phlebotomy training and wound care experience is highly desirable for this role
- As an HCA, you will be fundamental in providing Healthcare Support to our Clinical Team to ensure patients receive the best possible personal care.
- System literacy is essential
- Must be accurate and have a strong desire for attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic clinical skills and knowledge of patient care.
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding.
