The Move Clinic is a specialist musculoskeletal clinic based at Raleigh Park in Oxford, dedicated to premium assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. The team consists of highly experienced clinicians with over 25 years of expertise in musculoskeletal care, offering comprehensive and individualized treatment plans. The clinic uses advanced diagnostic ultrasound imaging to improve the precision of assessments and guide targeted interventions. A holistic approach underpins all care, considering each person’s overall health, lifestyle, and goals. The Move Clinic also provides cutting-edge therapies, including injection treatments, regenerative medicine, fenestration (dry needling), and shockwave therapy, to help people return to the activities they value.
Role Description
The Outpatient Neurological Physiotherapist will provide evidence-based assessment and treatment for people with a range of neurological conditions in an outpatient setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Conducting detailed physical and functional assessments
- Developing and reviewing individualized rehabilitation plans
- Delivering hands-on therapy
- Guiding patients through tailored exercise and movement programs

The role involves close collaboration with other clinicians, clear communication with patients and caregivers, accurate documentation of clinical findings and progress, and participation in service development and quality improvement activities. This is a part-time, on-site role based at The Move Clinic in Oxford, with clinical time spent in treatment rooms and gym spaces, and occasional involvement in multidisciplinary meetings and patient education sessions.

Qualifications
- Professional physiotherapy qualification (e.g., BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy) and current registration with the relevant professional body (such as HCPC or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in neurological physiotherapy within an outpatient or community setting, including assessment and management of conditions such as stroke, MS, Parkinson’s disease, and brain or spinal cord injury.
- Strong skills in functional assessment, gait analysis, balance training, and development of individualized rehabilitation programs using evidence-based practice.
- Confidence in using therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and technology-assisted interventions; familiarity with advanced or adjunct therapies (e.g., shockwave or other modalities) is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues, and to provide clear education and self-management guidance.
- Ability to maintain accurate clinical records, manage time effectively, prioritize caseloads, and contribute to service improvement and clinical audit.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, openness to new clinical approaches and innovations, and alignment with a holistic, person-centered model of care.
- Previous experience in a musculoskeletal or neuro-musculoskeletal clinic and an interest in integrating musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation are desirable.
- Previous history and training working in accredited NHS setting.
