Outpatient Nurse – Brand New Private Hospital

Up to £38,000 per annum plus Bonus & Competitive Benefits Package

Full-Time, Permanent, 40 Hours per Week
Oxford, Oxfordshire

Do you want to play a key role in the launch and success of a BRAND NEW, state-of-the-art private hospital? Are you an experienced Outpatient Nurse looking for an exciting opportunity to help shape a brand-new outpatient service from the ground up?

Compass Associates are proud to have exclusively partnered with Welbeck Health Partners for the opening of their brand-new hospital, boasting 12 specialties equipped with the latest technology and world-renowned consultants dedicated to delivering the best patient experience.

Capitalising on the success of their London flagship hospital, their new site will offer a wide range of medical diagnostic and same-day minimally invasive services, including heart health, lung health, digestive health, ENT, endoscopy, and neurology.

This is a very exciting opportunity for an individual who wants to help to shape a growing but established healthcare organisation.

At present, we are searching for an experienced Outpatient Nurse to join the team at Welbeck Oxford. The new outpatient service will feature 11 consulting rooms, 2 testing rooms and dedicated mole mapping facilities, supporting a wide range of specialties including Dermatology, Urology, Gynaecology and other consultant-led services.

This is an exciting opportunity to help establish a new department from the ground up. You will work closely with consultants, specialist clinicians and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective and patient-centred care across multiple specialties.

The successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy variety in their work and be comfortable adapting to new processes, systems and ways of working as the service develops.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care across a range of outpatient specialties.
  • Support consultant-led clinics, examinations and minor procedures.
  • Manage patient pathways and ensure efficient patient flow throughout the department.
  • Assist with dermatology, urology and gynaecology clinics and procedures.
  • Support mole mapping and diagnostic services as required.
  • Perform phlebotomy where trained and required to support patient pathways.
  • Assist with ECGs, skin prick testing and other outpatient diagnostic procedures where trained.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Act as a shift leader when required, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development of new processes and operational pathways within the service.
  • Promote patient safety, dignity and excellent patient experience at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, specialist nurses, phlebotomy teams and operational colleagues.

About You

We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable nurses who enjoy working in outpatient environments and are excited by the opportunity to help build a new service.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Recent experience working within an outpatient environment
  • Experience working within a multi-specialty outpatient environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise effectively in a busy clinical setting
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities
  • Comfortable working across multiple specialties and patient pathways
  • Clinical skills including Phlebotomy, ECGs and Wound Care will be advantageous
