Job Overview
We're looking for a friendly, organised and customer-focused individual to join our Diabetes and Endocrinology team as a Receptionist.
As the first point of contact for patients, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive. Whether greeting patients, managing appointments, answering queries or supporting clinicians with administrative tasks, you'll help ensure our outpatient service runs smoothly and efficiently every day.
Working within our busy specialist service, you'll work closely with clinical and administrative colleagues to coordinate appointments, maintain accurate records and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service as part of a supportive and dedicated team.
Main duties of the job
- Provide a professional reception and administrative service, including welcoming patients, managing enquiries, maintaining accurate records on our patient database, coordinating appointments, and supporting patient care through effective communication with clinical teams and external services.
- Provide administrative support to the Diabetes and Endocrinology service, including clinic preparation of patient documentation, working collaboratively with clinical and secretarial teams to support efficient service delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
