Outpatient Referrals Senior Administrator
The Outpatient Referrals Senior Administrator plays a key role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality, efficient outpatient referrals service across Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, including services delivered at Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil Hospital. The post holder is responsible for the management and processing of patient referrals and outpatient appointments, ensuring referrals are handled accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timescales to support timely patient access to care.

- Working closely with GP practices, clinicians, operational teams, and patients, the role supports the coordination and monitoring of referral pathways through a range of local and national systems, including e-Referrals, Cinapsis, Maxims, and TrakCare.
- The post holder is responsible for maintaining data quality, managing referral worklists, producing performance information, and ensuring referrals progress appropriately through the patient pathway in line with Trust policies, RTT requirements, and access standards.

The role also provides leadership support to the Outpatient Referrals Team, acting as a deputy to the Outpatient Referrals Supervisor when required. This includes:
- Supporting the supervision, training, induction, and development of staff.
- Assisting with workload management.
- Contributing to the day-to-day operational running of the service.
