About Us

We're a male suicide prevention organisation with BIG plans in Sunderland, and we need someone who's brilliant at getting people talking about us.

Space North East started in 2022 as a peer support group. It's grown into a service running six days a week, boxing, yoga, walking, workshops. In November we're opening Space, a proper coffee shop on Sunderland High Street. Big things happening. But none of it means anything if people don't know we exist.

That's where you come in.

The Role

We need someone out there being the face and voice of Space. Getting into schools, into businesses, onto stalls at networking events, and generally making sure everyone in the North East who needs us, or could support us, actually knows we're here.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

  • Getting out into schools, businesses and community groups to tell our story
  • Booking and running stalls at networking events, expos and careers fairs, wherever people gather
  • Sourcing and sorting the kit we need to show up well, banners, leaflets, giveaways, whatever it takes
  • Building relationships with local businesses who might sponsor us, host us or refer people to us
  • Turning conversations into partnerships, invites and opportunities
  • Basically being our chief noise maker, making sure more people know Space exists and what we do

What We're Looking For

  • Someone who can talk to anyone, a headteacher, a shop owner, a bloke on a building site, all the same
  • Comfortable walking into a room full of strangers with a stall and a smile
  • Organised enough to keep track of contacts, events and follow ups
  • Genuinely bought into why we do this
  • No need for a fancy CV. We care about energy, initiative and people skills over qualifications
