Responsibilities
As a Fielder, your role will include:
- Completing site visits within assigned markets
- Taking legible field notes for the creation of construction drawings for:
- Aerial applications
- Buried applications
- Underground installations
- Building-based projects
- Analyzing work site and design requests, then determining the scope of required work
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards
- Maintaining attention to detail and promptly communicating concerns or updates to the OSP Designer
- Engaging professionally with internal and external customers, representing MasTec Governed their clients
- Strict adherence to all company safety policies and practices

Qualifications
About You:
- Preferred (but not required):
- Understanding of Telecom, Fiber, and Outside Plant (OSP) systems
- Relevant experience in utilities, cabling, or construction
- Proficiency in Visio for creating field notes
- Preferred (but not required):
- High school diploma + any coursework from a technical school or community college
- Must:
- Be authorised to work in the U.S.
- Hold a valid driver’s licence (subject to Motor Vehicle Record (MVR Review) per company standards for safe driving)
- Be willing to undergo training and adapt to industry changes, continuing education for engineering best practices
- Reside locally to assigned survey markets
Compensation: $25–$35/hour
