Role Description
The Outsourced Legal Cashier will manage day-to-day financial transactions for client law firms, ensuring accurate recording and compliance with SRA regulations. This full-time, on-site role in Oakhill includes:

- Processing client and office account transactions
- Reconciling bank statements
- Monitoring balances to support smooth cash flow
- Maintaining up-to-date ledgers
- Preparing financial reports
- Identifying discrepancies or potential issues for timely resolution
The Legal Cashier will liaise with client firms, respond to queries about accounts, and collaborate with internal colleagues to uphold audit readiness and high service standards.
Qualifications
- Skills in legal cashiering, legal bookkeeping, and management of client and office accounts.
- Skills in bank reconciliation, ledger maintenance, and accurate transaction recording.
- Skills in compliance with SRA regulations, attention to detail, and risk awareness in financial processes.
- Skills in client communication, professional email and phone etiquette, and relationship management with law firms.
- Skills in using accounting or practice management software, working with spreadsheets, and handling digital records securely.

Additional Requirements
- Relevant experience in a law firm or legal services environment is beneficial.
- Strong numeracy, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently on-site.
- A qualification or training in bookkeeping, accounting, or legal finance is advantageous.
- Familiarity with audit processes and best practices in financial controls.
