Senior Trader - Outsourced Trading
Marlin Selection is working with an established financial services firm to appoint a Senior Trader - Outsourced Trading.
This is a senior opportunity to lead and grow a trading service for hedge funds and investment managers. The successful candidate will combine strong execution expertise with the ability to build client relationships, shape the offering, and lead a high-performing team.
The Role
- Lead the outsourced trading desk and oversee execution for institutional clients.
- Develop the service alongside the team, identifying opportunities with new and existing clients.
- Build trusted relationships with portfolio managers, traders, brokers, and liquidity providers.
- Set standards for execution quality, trading controls, reporting, and client service.
- Recruit, develop, and manage trading talent as the business grows.
- Work closely with sales, operations, technology, risk, and compliance teams.

About You
- Significant experience in institutional trading, ideally within an outsourced trading desk, hedge fund, asset manager, or prime brokerage business.
- A strong understanding of buy-side trading workflows and the needs of hedge fund clients.
- Proven leadership skills and the commercial ability to develop a client-facing offering.
- Excellent market relationships and a hands-on approach to execution.
- Sound judgement around best execution, risk, and operational controls.
