Outsourcing & Operational Risk Consultant

A leading fintech/payments business is looking for an experienced Outsourcing and Operational Risk Consultant to review and strengthen how outsourced services and third-party providers are managed.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can build a practical outsourcing framework, establish effective governance and controls, and automate manual processes wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review current outsourcing and third-party arrangements to identify operational risks, control gaps and inefficiencies.
- Design and implement an outsourcing and third-party risk framework.
- Establish clear governance, ownership, risk assessment and escalation processes.
- Develop outsourcing registers, risk assessments, controls, policies and supporting documentation.
- Introduce effective supplier oversight, including SLAs, KPIs, MI and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate manual outsourcing processes.
- Ensure outsourcing arrangements support operational resilience and regulatory obligations.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external providers to embed the new framework.

Essential Experience:
- Strong outsourcing, third-party risk or operational risk experience.
- Proven experience building outsourcing or supplier-risk frameworks from the ground up.
- Strong understanding of operational risk, governance, controls and operational resilience.
- Experience implementing supplier oversight, SLAs, KPIs and management reporting.
- Demonstrable process-improvement and workflow-automation experience.
- Experience within fintech, payments or financial services.
