In this role you'll be managing bookkeeping, VAT and management accounts for a varied portfolio of clients within a friendly and growing accountancy practice.

We're working with one of our long-standing clients, a growing accountancy practice in Reading, who are looking to recruit a Outsourcing Semi-Senior following continued expansion.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients and wants to broaden their knowledge within a firm that genuinely values its people. You'll be joining a welcoming team with plenty of support, ongoing development and the opportunity to take on more responsibility as you progress.

The Role
You'll work with a wide range of owner-managed businesses, taking responsibility for a varied workload including:
- Completing day-to-day bookkeeping using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Bank, control account and balance sheet reconciliations
- Reviewing bookkeeping and resolving client queries
- Assisting clients with software support and general accounting advice
- Supporting senior team members with ad-hoc accounts work when required

About You
We're keen to hear from candidates with previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice. Experience preparing management accounts and VAT returns is essential, while knowledge of cloud accounting software would be advantageous.
