Who are we?πŸ‘‹

Look at the latest headlines and you will see something Ki insures. Think space shuttles, world tours, wind farms, and even footballers' legs.

Ki's mission is simple. Digitally disrupt and revolutionise a 335-year-old market. Working with Google and UCL, Ki has created a platform that uses algorithms, machine learning and large language models to give insurance brokers quotes in seconds, rather than days.

Ki is proudly the biggest global algorithmic insurance carrier. It is the fastest growing syndicate in the Lloyd's of London market, and the first ever to make $100m in profit in 3 years.

Ki's teams have varied backgrounds and work together in an agile, cross-functional way to build the very best experience for its customers. Ki has big ambitions but needs more excellent minds to challenge the status-quo and help it reach new horizons.

Where you come in?

The Outwards Reinsurance Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of Ki's outward reinsurance placement activity across all lines of business. The role supports the design, structuring and delivery of the Outwards Reinsurance (ORI) programme, a key component of Ki's capital and risk management strategy.

Working closely with underwriting, portfolio management, brokers and reinsurers, the role contributes to ensuring appropriate protection structures are in place to meet business objectives. The role also supports monitoring, reporting and analysis to inform strategic decision-making and programme optimisation. This is a specialist role with broad interaction across internal and external stakeholders and a strong focus on both operational delivery and analytical insight.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
