Role Overview
As a Cooking & Cooling Operative, you'll play a vital role in managing a key Critical Control Point (CCP) within our production operation. You'll be responsible for ensuring meat products are cooked and cooled to specification while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and operational performance.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist manufacturing skills, gain valuable industry experience, and build your career within a leading food business. Full on-the-job and external training will be provided to support your development.
Key Duties
- Run the cooking and cooling CCP in line with product specifications
- Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, quality, quantity, and cost control
- Operate and monitor production equipment to achieve throughput targets
- Complete production records and compliance documentation accurately
- Monitor processes and identify opportunities to improve performance
- Ensure products consistently meet customer and company requirements
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across production and support functions
- Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced within a food manufacturing environment
- Knowledgeable in food safety and quality standards
- Comfortable operating machinery and monitoring production processes
- Highly detail-focused with strong attention to compliance and documentation
- Able to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities
- A positive team player with a willingness to learn and develop
- Confident communicating and working effectively with colleagues
- Committed to delivering consistently high standards

Desirable experience
- Two or more years' experience within a High Risk food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of cooking processes and FMCG production operations
- Experience operating production equipment within a manufacturing setting
