About The Role
Pertemps Dudley Industrial seeks an experienced Overhead Crane Operator for a full-time, temp-to-perm post in Cradley. Pay ranges from £13 to £14 hourly, working Monday to Friday, 6am until 2pm. Duties include lifting, moving and positioning steel, sheet metal and other heavy materials within a manufacturing setting, plus loading and unloading goods. Candidates must show prior crane operation experience and confidence handling bulky loads safely. The assignment offers long-term prospects, with a permanent contract possible for the right person. Applicants should demonstrate competence with lifting equipment and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

The successful candidate will have previous experience operating an overhead crane and be confident moving heavy materials safely and efficiently around a busy factory.
This is a long-term temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.
The Role
- Operating an overhead crane to lift, move and position heavy materials
- Loading and unloading steel, sheet metal and other manufacturing materials
- Moving materials safely around the production area
- Using lifting equipment in line with company procedures
- Checking loads and ensuring materials are safely secured before lifting
- Supporting production and manufacturing teams with material movements
- Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries when required
- Following production instructions and health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
- Carrying out general production duties when required

The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as an Overhead Crane Operator
- A valid Overhead Crane Licence / Certificate
- Experience operating overhead cranes within a manufacturing, engineering, steel or fabrication environment
- Experience moving heavy or awkward loads safely
- Good understanding of lifting and loading procedures
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
