Role Description
The Owner role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Edinburgh Area, responsible for overall leadership, strategy, and performance of The Knowledge Academy / Makeway Global Consulting. Day-to-day activities include:

The Owner monitors financial performance, manages budgets, and makes decisions on investments, partnerships, and resource allocation. This role involves:
- Leading and developing the team
- Establishing operational processes
- Maintaining quality standards
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and professional codes
The Owner also represents the organizations in the market, builds brand visibility, and identifies new opportunities for growth through networking, marketing, and strategic collaborations.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership and management skills, including strategic planning, decision-making, and team development.
- Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, financial oversight, and performance management.
- Background in professional training, consulting, or related service-based industries is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities to work effectively with clients, partners, and staff.
- Ability to design and refine service offerings, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Comfort with public speaking, presenting to groups, and representing the organizations at events and industry forums.
- Relevant academic qualifications (e.g., degree in business, management, education, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and non-discriminatory practices in leadership, hiring, and client engagement.
