Role Description
The Owner role at Pixel Artworks is a full-time, on-site position based in Hitchin. The Owner oversees the studio’s strategic direction, ensuring creative excellence and commercial sustainability across all projects. Daily responsibilities include:

The role also involves:
- Overseeing financial management, resource allocation, and long-term growth initiatives
- Representing the studio in industry events and high-level negotiations
Qualifications
- Experience in creative or design-led businesses, with proven leadership in immersive, experiential, or technology-driven environments.
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and business development in a studio or agency setting.
- Ability to build and maintain high-value client, partner, and stakeholder relationships, with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated capability in leading multidisciplinary teams, mentoring senior talent, and cultivating an inclusive, high-performance culture.
- Understanding of experiential design, light-based installations, or interactive technologies, with the ability to evaluate creative and technical proposals.
- Comfort with operational decision-making, risk management, and prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant experience as a founder, owner, managing director, or senior executive; formal education in business, design, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Eligibility to work on-site in Hitchin and willingness to be present as the primary leader of studio operations.
