Role Description
The Owner-Driver role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom. The Owner-Driver will use their own vehicle to carry out same-day and time-critical deliveries across the UK, ensuring freight is collected and delivered safely, on time, and in full compliance with relevant regulations. - Loading and securing goods
- Maintaining clear communication with the operations team

The role also involves:

The Owner-Driver is expected to:
- Manage fuel and running costs responsibly
- Maintain their vehicle to a high standard
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle operated, with a clean or low-point driving record.
- Ownership or access to a suitable, well-maintained commercial vehicle for same-day and time-critical transport.
- Good knowledge of UK road networks, route planning, and safe driving practices, including adherence to speed, loading, and weight regulations.
- Experience in time-sensitive deliveries, ideally within manufacturing, industrial, or similar sectors, with a strong focus on punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to handle transport documentation, delivery notes, and basic record-keeping accurately and clearly.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, customers, and site contacts, including clear updates on ETAs and any issues.
- Professional attitude aligned with Viton’s values of Responsibility, Reliability, Transparency, and Professionalism.
- Basic understanding of health and safety requirements, including safe loading/unloading; ADR knowledge or certification is an advantage.
- Capability to work independently, manage time effectively, and remain calm under operational pressure.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo any required background or compliance checks.
