Role Description

The Owner role at Charakids Foundation is a full-time, on-site position based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Owner will oversee the strategic direction, governance, and overall operations of the foundation, ensuring that programs align with the mission of supporting children in need. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing budgets and funding initiatives, supervising program development and delivery, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and policies. The role involves building and sustaining relationships with donors, partners, volunteers, and community stakeholders, as well as representing the foundation at events and outreach activities. The Owner will also lead staff, set performance expectations, and foster a collaborative, ethical, and inclusive organizational culture focused on impact and accountability.

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including experience overseeing teams, budgets, and operations in a non-profit or mission-driven organization.
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills, with the ability to design, implement, and evaluate programs that support children and communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including stakeholder engagement, public speaking, and relationship-building with donors and partners.
  • Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and resource mobilization to sustain and grow charitable activities.
  • Knowledge of child welfare, education, or community development sectors, and familiarity with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Proven ability to work on-site in a dynamic environment, make sound decisions, and handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in fields such as Non-profit Management, Social Work, Education, Business, or a related discipline (advanced qualifications are an advantage).
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equity, inclusion, and ethical standards in all organizational activities.
