Role Description/Criteria
The role of the Learning Diversity Leader will be to lead the staff in a process of strategic improvement for the purpose of ongoing improved student outcomes. The Learning Diversity Leader role at Cana Catholic School is integral to the effectiveness of the MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision of Engagement, and the successful applicant will work in collaboration with the School Leadership Team to demonstrate a high level of understanding of appropriate content knowledge and pedagogy to ensure that support for students is coordinated, purposeful and responsive to evidence.
The Learning Diversity Leader will lead and coordinate the school’s approach to identifying student needs; and planning and reviewing reasonable adjustments (NCCD), and personalised learning, intervention and complex student support where appropriate. The Learning Diversity Leader guides and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team - including Intervention Teachers, Curriculum Leaders and the Wellbeing leader to design, align, and implement targeted support strategies that address the diverse learning and holistic needs of every student.
The MHiPS Facilitator will build the capacity of school staff to identify and support students with mental health concerns in the classroom. This may include embedding evidence-based mental health strategies, interventions, and programs such as alternative play during break times.

The MHiPS Facilitator will work across the school to implement a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing for students, staff and families based on a broad knowledge of the needs of the Cana community.
Applicants should:

- Have relevant teaching and leadership experience with a demonstrated capacity to initiate growth in learning and teaching, to improve student outcomes.
- Demonstrate high levels of experience and an ability to foster and develop professional relationships with all stakeholders.
- Have strong collaborative skills to transform teams and drive change in the school.
- Have effective organisational, planning and resource management skills to support the education programs of the school.
- Be flexible and adaptable to leading and managing change in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate a love of learning and be committed to personal and professional growth.
- Have substantial knowledge of the NCCD model, and work collaboratively with the Leadership Team to support teachers to make adjustments for students, and gather evidence as required.
- Possess valid VIT Registration.

Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School is preferable. Postgraduate study relevant to the role is advantageous. Experience in educational assessment, intervention, NCCD, case management or the coordination of complex student support will be highly regarded. Applicants should hold, or be willing and eligible to obtain, recognised User Level B assessment training within an agreed period.
