London: £33,310 - £35,962 (If the successful candidate is a current Civil Servant joining on level transfer, HM Treasury will honour their current substantive salary if higher.)

About the Team
The GMS is made up of 2 PA's, a Private Secretary and a Business Manager based across the Darlington and London offices. Their aim is to provide a professional PA and Business Support service to keep the work of the Group running smoothly, enable it to deliver its objectives, and operate in line with the Treasury’s policies and procedures. We offer tailored training to PAs, dedicated networks for professions and interests and offer other development opportunities.
About the Job
You will join the GMS team, which sits within the International Group. The team works on a broad range of issues and contributes to the delivery of the Group’s strategic objectives.

Key Accountabilities
- Diary management – Proactively manage Deputy Directors' diaries, resolving conflicts, prioritising commitments and ensuring time is allocated effectively in line with business priorities.
- Supporting priorities – Anticipate issues, risks and corporate tasks, using sound judgement to support Deputy Directors and help drive priorities forward.
- Meeting and travel coordination – Manage meeting logistics, prepare briefing materials and coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements.
- Correspondence management – Coordinate Ministerial correspondence, Parliamentary Questions, Freedom of Information requests and other official communications, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
- Team support – Provide cover for colleagues across the Group Management Services (GMS) team during periods of absence.
- Relationship management – Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective delivery.
- Administrative and secretariat support – Provide administrative support to Deputy Directors and their teams, including coordinating meetings, arranging travel and rooms, raising purchase orders, supporting briefings and responding to ad hoc requests.

About You
You will be organised, efficient and people-focused with strong communication and relationship-building skills. Able to manage competing priorities and deliver excellent customer service, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook and OneNote, is essential, while diary management experience is desirable.
