Personal Assistant to Managing Director

We're looking for an experienced Personal Assistant to support our Managing Director and help keep things running smoothly across the business.
This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be at the heart of the business, managing priorities, coordinating activity and helping ensure the Managing Director has the information, support and time needed to focus on what matters most.
You'll build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, work closely with the Board and senior leadership team, and become a trusted go-to person who can quickly adapt, solve problems and keep things moving.
Role Responsibilities
- Managing a busy and constantly changing diary, ensuring time is spent on the right priorities
- Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Preparing presentations, reports, meeting packs and briefing papers
- Organising Board and leadership meetings, including agendas, minutes and follow-up actions
- Keeping track of actions, decisions and key business priorities to ensure nothing slips through the cracks
- Supporting business projects and helping coordinate activity across different teams
- Arranging travel, events and meetings
- Building strong relationships with colleagues, partners and external contacts
- Looking for ways to improve how things are done, including making use of AI and new technology where appropriate
- Handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Supporting the Director of Risk & Compliance with governance and Board-related activities

Skills and Experience
Essential
- Experience supporting a CEO, Managing Director or other senior executive
- Exceptional organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with people at all levels
- Experience producing professional reports, presentations and Board papers
- Someone who can work independently, use their initiative and make sound decisions
- Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams
- A calm and professional approach, even when things get busy
- The ability to handle confidential information with care and discretion
Desirable
- Experience working in financial services or another regulated industry
- Exposure to Board or Executive Committee meetings and governance processes
- Experience supporting business projects or organisational change initiatives
