PA to Managing Director, Shipping – 12-14 months FTC
£46,000 + benefits
Role Overview
Are you proactive and self-motivated PA with excellent communication skills? Do you have strong attention to detail with a professional and flexible approach? Can you adapt quickly to changes, handle multiple tasks and prioritise to meet deadlines? Our client, a leading shipping company, is looking for an experienced PA to support a Global Managing Director and wider team in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Monday to Friday in Office – City based
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
- Work closely with the Managing Director; anticipating their needs and helping prioritise requests for time and attention from all areas of the business and externally
- Act as gatekeeper and first point of contact
- Diary management, coordinating and scheduling meetings, organising meeting rooms, and preparing and circulating agendas
- Arranging and booking travel
- Organising events
- Producing reports, presentations and project work/research
- Handling all routine administrative matters including answering phone calls and dealing with enquiries/escalating where needed, organising couriers, filing and archiving, processing expenses
- Supporting the wider team as required within the Department
- Ad hoc duties as required, to meet the needs of the business

- Strong PA experience at a senior level within a global organisation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with people at all levels
- Highly organised and ability to multitask
- Able to work calmly under pressure, use initiative and problem solve
- Confidence and resilience
- Work well independently as well as within a team
- Uphold confidentiality and discretion and exercise
- Advanced MS Office skills
