Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Vascular Network Manager and Surgical Management Directorate. The post holder will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the office, managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings, preparing reports and correspondence, and supporting the delivery of key directorate objectives.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for prioritising workloads, handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion, and acting as a key point of contact for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will utilise excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills to support senior management, coordinate business activities, and ensure deadlines and governance requirements are met.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience providing high-level administrative or personal assistant support, excellent minute-taking and diary management skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach.

Main duties of the job

  • Experience delivering a comprehensive PA or senior administrative service.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
  • Experience of diary management, minute taking and report preparation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and administrative systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with tact, diplomacy and discretion.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator or Personal Assistant looking to make a meaningful contribution within a dynamic and supportive NHS environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
