The Role
As a Package Manager Electrical, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a key role in delivering major infrastructure projects that support the UK's defence capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex electrical work packages within a high-profile programme, managing projects from planning through to successful delivery.
Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders, you'll ensure that electrical projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. In return, you'll gain valuable experience working on nationally significant programmes while developing your leadership, project management, and engineering expertise within a world-class organisation.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Lead the delivery of designated electrical work packages across a major infrastructure programme.
- Manage project scope, requirements, schedules, budgets, risks, and quality outcomes.
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and project governance requirements.
- Monitor performance and reporting progress to key stakeholders and programme leadership.

This is a full-time, onsite position based at Devonport. Standard working hours apply.
Essential Experience of the Package Manager Electrical
- Experience managing construction, engineering, or infrastructure project sites.
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects or contracts within a project environment.
- Strong understanding of project management disciplines, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
- Experience managing suppliers, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and performance management skills.
Qualifications for the Package Manager Electrical
Essential:
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification with a recognised institution such as CIOB, ICE, or equivalent.
- Site Safety Management accreditation.
- CSCS Card.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) regulations and processes.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
