The Role
Are you a skilled designer with experience in delivering brand creative across multiple channels? Are you a team player, highly organised with experience in managing creative projects from ideation to completion? Do you want to work in a dynamic, growing business? If so, we want to hear from you.
As the Packaging and Marketing Designer, you will be responsible for the planning, creation, and on-time delivery of brand assets including product packaging, retail merchandising (online and bricks & mortar), e-commerce, digital, and print marketing materials. Sitting within the marketing team but coordinating closely with Product Design and production partners, you will ensure consistent representation of the Hiplok brand across all customer touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Design
- Own the creation, update, and maintenance of all product packaging artwork in line with product development timelines. This includes:
- Working with the product design team to identify a timeline for packaging updates
- Creating artwork in line with brand guidelines and liaising with internal sales and marketing teams for sign-off and approval of proofs
- Preparing print-ready files to manufacturing specifications, including for cartons
- Ensuring adherence to compliance, with regulatory, barcode, and territory
- Liaising with factories to implement packaging updates on time

- Work with sales and marketing teams to design in-store point-of-sale materials which support consistent brand representation and promote good sell-through in-store:
- Design of graphics for displays and retailer-specific assets
- Work with the Product Development team on bespoke 3D POS solutions
- Management of printing and supply of all materials
- Work with the Operations Manager to ensure a process for smooth delivery to warehouse and onward to retailers
- Create planograms and merchandising guidelines for retail partners
Marketing and E-Commerce Design
- Design and deliver marketing content and assets on time, on budget, and in line with consistent brand guidelines. This includes:
- Design of exhibition stands to include display, graphics, and large-format artwork
- Artwork and print management of catalogues and brochures
- Creation of digital marketing content including digital advertising banners, email graphics
- Editing, optimising, and loading of imagery for hiplok.com and retailer web platforms
- Input into the design and layout of web pages, in line with E-Commerce strategy
- Design of web graphics to support product pages on Hiplok.com
- Design and production of branded apparel and other promotional items used for team, riders/ambassadors, sales people (internal and external) and for show giveaways
Marketing Support
- On-site support at events including presenting products to customers and supporting the Marketing Executive with set-up and break-down days
- Support the Content Executive on photo shoots where required

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Proven experience preparing artwork for print production and liaising with manufacturers/print suppliers
- Understanding of packaging structures and dielines
- Excellent attention to detail and file organisation with ability to manage timelines to budget
Desirable
- Experience working with consumer products or physical goods
- Retail merchandising/POS experience – 3D visualisation skills a bonus
- Exhibition design experience
Personal Attributes
- Organised and process-driven
- Good communicator with the ability to take ownership and work independently
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills – this is a role which will work cross-functionally with marketing, design, e-commerce, and sales
- Passion for design, products, and interest in bikes a bonus
Reporting To
Marketing Manager / Brand Lead
Location/Hours
- Full Time (37 hours per week - 8 hours Monday - Thursday; 5 hours Friday) with 4 days per week in the office in Leamington Spa.
- You may be required to work weekends to support events.
- Days off will be offered in lieu for weekend work in line with company policy.
