Packaging Category Buyer | Tata Consumer Products

📍 Eaglescliffe, UK

Ready to turn commercial insight, supplier partnerships and smart procurement into meaningful business value?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of an important packaging category, strengthen supply resilience and support the delivery of innovative and more sustainable products.

About Us

At Tata Consumer Products, you’ll have the opportunity to support a global food and beverage business with a portfolio of recognised brands, including Tetley, Tata Tea, Eight O’Clock Coffee, Himalayan Natural Mineral Water and Tata Sampann.

Our purpose is For Better, and we are focused on strengthening our core businesses, accelerating growth, driving innovation and embedding sustainability across our operations.

The Role

We’re looking for a commercially focused and proactive Packaging Category Buyer to join our Procurement team in Eaglescliffe.

You’ll manage packaging purchasing activity, supplier relationships, pricing and inventory while identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve commercial terms and strengthen service and supply continuity.

Working across Planning, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Innovation, Projects and Tea Buying and Blending, you’ll help ensure packaging materials are available at the right quality, quantity, time and price.

This is more than a transactional buying role. You’ll use market intelligence to challenge suppliers, support new product launches, manage supply-chain risks and help advance our responsible sourcing and sustainable packaging ambitions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
