Job Description

Here at 2 Sisters Food Group we are proud to be counted amongst the nation's key workers with our relentless work helping to feed Great Britain. We currently have exciting opportunities for Packaging Controller's to join the team in West Bromwich.

The hours of work and shift patterns are: 14:30 - 22:30 Monday - Friday

The rates of pay are: £13.41

Main Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate stock reports daily, weekly and monthly
  • Ensure daily communication with Factory Manager to discuss alignment of packaging needs with the factory production plan
  • Maintain correct level of packaging stock on site in line with production plan
  • Liaise with Finance to raise order request forms and PO numbers to send to suppliers
  • Ensure accurate recording of all information relating to orders placed and deliveries received for reconciliation with Finance
  • Take responsibility for receiving and accurately recording all packaging deliveries
  • Issuing all packaging to production lines ensuring it is correctly recorded
  • Receive all unused packaging back from the factory ensuring it is correctly recorded
  • Ensuring all packaging areas are clean and tidy
  • Managing deliveries (pushing back and bringing forward delivery dates depends on the requirements of production and space availability at UNIT 3)
  • To develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure that all requests are responded to appropriately and in the correct timescales.
  • Ensure that any issues relating to safety or legality of packaging are identified and communicated to the Transport and Dry Goods Stores Manager for review at a strategic level.
  • Champion and identify opportunities to develop business capability in relation to continuous improvement initiatives. Work on projects as required implementing lean initiatives and continuously improving inventory management and control.
  • At all times act in the best interests of 2SFG, its employees, its brands, 2SFG customers and the final customers of the products manufactured by 2SFG. Lead the site in developing and embedding a quality focused culture of food safety to enable continuous improvements to standards.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Food Safety
  • Level 2 Health & Safety
  • PPT licence or willing to train
  • FLT licence – desirable

  • Experience of working in a similar supply chain role
  • Familiarity with supply chain procedures
  • Experience of data entry and reporting

Skills:

  • Ability to clearly communicate and influence internally and externally at all levels of an organisation
  • Excellent oral and written English skills
  • Self-motivated and highly resilient
  • Experience of working with demanding retail or similar customer base
  • A high level of flexibility is required and ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment with sometimes conflicting needs & wants
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
